CPIC Check and Privacy Act Request for Canadian Criminal History Screening

NOTICE
THIS PAGE IS STRICTLY INTENDED FOR PEOPLE WISHING TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AT ONE OF OUR CANADIAN OFFICES TO HAVE A CPIC CRIMINAL NAME CHECK CONDUCTED FOR EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND SCREENING

Please be aware that while RSSI is able to accept referrals from Police Services for Vulnerable Sector fingerprinting we are not able to conduct Vulnerable Sector Name Checks. As an individual, however, you are able to get a complete copy of any RCMP Criminal Record data holding including active criminal history, pardon records (including Pardoned Sex Offenses) and archive records. It is important to note that this is more information than could normally be obtained from the RCMP via a regular employment fingerprint submission and as such it will not be released by the RCMP directly to a third party. While the record is an accurate disclosure of information held, it is not certified by the RCMP as it may contain charges that have been laid that are still awaiting disposition. CPIC Name checks can provide confirmation that no un-pardoned convictions existed under a particular name and date of birth. CPIC Checks do not release criminal history information, and the only way to receive a certified criminal history is via the submission of fingerprints. If a CPIC Name Check is sufficient for your employer then select the approriate employment type name check from the drop down below. If however you wish to submit fingerprints and receive a complete Non-Certified disclosure of your Criminal History Information then select “Privacy Act Request – Non-Certified Criminal Information”.
